I live the way I do to find the ultimate truth of life. When I encounter
this truth I want to be proud of who I am, my best self. In a way, this is my
hope for my future self and my dream for my current one but to live my life I
must first breathe life into myself. This breathe of life is important since
it’s what will keep me going even when I have lost my motivation, purpose and
inspiration. It’s what makes me human above all other characteristics-hope.
The best part of being human is having flaws allowing us to be a being of endless possibilities. An angel is perfect but their flaw being they can’t improve, while a humans flaw is being imperfect our potential is our ability to grow. A great, easy example is the human body, we can condition our body to do almost anything or nothing at all. And so our body gives us an advantage but what puts everything into motion is our mind, and that small yet consistent ray of hope that brings us to life.
Hope is what makes us human and not knowing what we hope for is
dangerous. An easy way to identify hope is in the sick, who hope to get better
and live a healthy life despite the odds. This person knows what to hope for
and so can still live despite their body’s condition, once they have made that
choice. However, a healthy person has no need to identify what brings
them hope but, the moment they are stripped of what was previously taken for
granted- they fall in depression.
Hope is our first and last breathe of life and vitality, without it in moment of need we will drown and fall to depression. The first step to becoming strong is recognizing our vulnerability.
